Mitsubishi Electric Power Products is Hiring an Operations Planning Analyst Near Warrendale, PA

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) serves the North American power systems, rail transportation, and large visual display markets with electrical and electronic products, systems, and services.

Position Summary

MEPPI is looking for an Operations Planning Analyst to provide planning support, facilities administration, and project execution in support of division business operations and corporate process owners.

Essential Functions

Business Planning

  • Support and assist with the execution of the annual planning process for the operating divisions and Corporate Services. Perform ratio analyses, prepare organization planning charts to align with staffing plans, evaluate key information that feeds into the planning process, and coordinate the planning schedule with the divisions.
  • Participate with ongoing review and improvement of the annual planning process.
  • Participate in the development and utilization of templates to gather and report on data from company planning systems; e.g., facility plans, costing rates, corporate allocations.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Planning and Administration department’s annual budget

Facilities Planning

  • Conduct analysis of service contracts to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Independently research and analyze building configuration and layout to develop plans for best allocation and utilization of corporate building space and resources. Create and update related documents and drawings.
  • Perform project planning for building renovations including requirements development, implementation plans, options and timelines. Prepare and submit approval documentation to government entities and property owners as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate lease improvements with internal stakeholders, contractors and lessors.
  • Maintain the processes and procedures for managing various shared space utilization in Company facilities. Identify and implement new configurations for furniture, technology and space utilization as needs change

Other Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders to support the purchasing of materials and services for the Department. Review orders for accuracy and conformance with policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the management and analysis of MEPPI’s travel and service programs.
  • Research and gather data, perform data analyses and present findings to support the Planning and Administration department.
  • Support the planning and execution of company events as assigned.
  • Further the goals and the positive, professional image of the company through effective dealings with customers and other internal departments and divisions.
  • Know MEPPI’s Quality, Safety and Environmental policies. Be able to fully discuss importance of these polices and how they impact work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related technical discipline with a minimum 3 years of experience in planning, operations, finance or other technical experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial analysis and techniques.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with employees and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and materials.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and business systems software.
